dear sir, my O\S is winXP2003(SP2). i have selected window scheme as my my sound scheme. my audio driver is realtek high definition driver. whenever i am logging in and out, there is no sound. this same problem is also persisting during clicking for many operations which were previously generating sounds.

Click Here to open a Kelly's Korner page.

On that page, go to line 6 and click on "Restore System Default Sounds" to download a small .reg file.

Once it's downloaded, run it according to the directions at the top of the Kelly's Korner page.

Try right clicking and then left clicking on Merge.

You might try downloading the file again only this time, right click on the download link on the Kelly's Korner page and left click on "Save target as..." to make sure it's saving it as a .reg file.
