have win98se on a compaq deskpro PII 350. Morning startup wouldn't. Don't have a system disk to start up. Managed to start by stuffing in the Win98 cd. It turned on the lights. Tried to create a sys disk now. Computer asks for Win98 cd as it cannot find -symbols look close to ERa which I found out to mean winboot sys.
How do I get that back in.?
I have a second machine a ibm clone486 with same OS. Can I get the info from there and put it on a floppy and do a manual transfer?
    If so, how?
    Appreciate any bones tossed

    Perhaps:
    http://bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

When made check to make sure it functions with cdrom support correctly before relying on it.

Also note the link for the updated fdisk. This may have to copied to any bootdisk you make.
