win98secedition

    please help: i tried to reinstall some files from my win98sec edition cd instead it reinstalled and now it askes for the registeration number from the cd {i no longer have } i put the computer in safe mode to try to find it but it was'nt to be found. and it want go anywhere without it . so is there anyway just get back to my original windows. all help is greatly welcomed!

    When you start in Safe Mode do you have access to the
    Start\Run command?

    hello, yes i can, i have access to my old desktop in safe mode. do you think i could use the command and scanreg/restore . i have'nt tried it yet , wanted someone esle's opion first. thanks

    I'd try scanreg/restore.

    But first, I'd try to find the Product Key if possible.

    THANKS SO MUCH! I TRIED THE SCANREG/RESTORE AND IT PUT MY COMPUTER BACK WHERE IT NEEDED TO BE ! THANKS AGAIN!
