:( Win98 SE with IE6 can connect to internet but cannot display any web page.
Was originally using IE5 tried to reinstall winsock files no luck. Used the add/remove restore with no luck.
Upgaraded to IE6 from CD still get the cannot display error.
Could I have a registry problem???? Everything else works fine except the above.
Any help will be much appreciated

    Thanks To Both replys

Have tried both suggestions. None of the fixes helped or so it seems. After using the fix from Boston College I can no longer access my phone file and cannot dial out to my ISP. The other two fixes - one reported no errors the other didn't do anything.
The artical on Microsoft mainly referes to AOL related problems, but will try some of the suggestions. I tend to think towards an HKEY issue in the registry.
Again Thanks To Both of You. Perhaps there my be a resolution to this problem soon.

At this point, it is hard to tell what exactly has gone wrong. Perhaps a tracing back to when it happened. Did you have a ad/spyware, virus or trojan infection? Maybe the sudden appearance of a dial up connection?
    Are you using any firewall?
