    Hello,
I am installing Windows 95 on a couple of very old PCs which I don't wish to put on 98.

How would I install IE5 but avoid any integration with Windows? IE web stuff, etc, and just leave it as it was before the installation? Is this not at all possible?

I believe it is not possible to have IE installed and not have it intregated. While it is possible to strip IE from 95, it will no longer be installed in this case.
I would just let it run, and not use View as Web Page on the Desktop.

    Argh

Argh! Maybe I'll have to stick to NT4.0 and install IE6 (that doesn't cause integration). I'm quite shocked, actually. I have seen IE5 and Win95 work together without integration before in a school establishment.

The reason I wish to avoid integration is that I believe that the inclusion of IE in the shell slows it down, and on slow computers such as these, it will seriously affect the performance.

    Many thanks.
