Resolved Win7 and CAD

    I'm student of architecture,and i'm planning to switch on w7 from XP. Could anybody tell me how is AutoCad working on w7 OS, and also Photoshop and such programs..

    Sorry if this thread exist, i'm new here...

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

    Those apps are more Hardware Intensive applications then they are Windows...I would look on their web sites and see what they say about Vista and or Win 7.

    As far as Photoshop is concerned CS4 runs better, faster in Win 7 - using Pro x64, than on XP, albeit with a faster processor and 6 Gb RAM.

    I can concur with PeteC that Adobe CS4 (and CS3) products are fine on Win7, both as 32Bit and 64Bit installations (Photoshop will install both 64Bit and 32Bit versions on a 64Bit OS), and AutoCAD 2008 also runs fine... so far!

    Thanks guys for your replies...I have just installed win7 and AutoCad 2010, and if something goes wrong, youll be the first to know... xD
