Win2k3 become very slow in the evening

    I have setup a domain Server on Win2k3. Recently it become very slow in the evening, something even totally lost connection. So, i need to restart the workstation (few times) to solve this problem. Anyone know why?

    The place I'd look first is your update and backup systems. Check they are not scheduled to start in the period you have the problem. Also check when your Anti-virus is scheduled to be active (either scanning or checking for updates).

    Also check the Event view for warnings and errors around this time.

    Thank you for your reply. I have scheduled the backup start at 11:00pm & I didn't schedule the anti-virus scanning. I'll check the event log later.
