Win2k Fax

On new PC, new Win2k, I tried the built-in fax,
decided I preferred WinFax.
Directions say to right click Fax-printer and
delete, but Win2k won't let me. Add/Remove Win
components will let me add Fax, but not remove it.
I installed WinFax, but it can't access external
modem because Win2k won't let go of it.
How to I wrest control of my PC away from M.S.
without wasting several days in re-installations??
