Win2k connection pool max?

The following note was received from our dba, is this true?

"i was talking to one of my collegue about the problem we were having with the number of users. he was saying that the server has a limitation that it can support only about 300 concurrent connections (this is limitatoin on W2K/NT not on unix systems). "

I would love to know. Our server environment is all Win2k. Thanks for any/all help.

 

This is not true on server version. I worked in an enterprise environment with about 6,000 concurrent connections no problem.
