win2K cd driver

Hi all,
System is win 2K.
I inserted one cd but it was taking too long time to read, so I took out the cd by pressing from cpu. After that I inserted another cd and it was also like that. computer cud not read the cd. But this time i am unable to take out the cd even by pressing from cpu. Even in explorer it is not showing the drive.
It is a server for a TEM and is difficult to restart the machine. I log off/on...did not help.
Can anybody teel me without restarting the computer how I can enable the drive?
