    I'm having a bit of trouble -

I am running Win2000Pro and IE 6.0 - I've just installed both yesterday.

Well I'm trying to get all my favorite message boards and what not set up - and I'm running into a serious problem with some boards that have cookies in them.

It's letting me log into their sites, and will show me as logged in when I check the "users online" -- however it's not letting me post, read PM's or send PMs.

I turned the Security settings on IE to LOW in the effort to see if that would help - and I'm getting no where. I thought it might be my login account at said message boards, but I tried it on my boyfriends computer (not running Win2000 OR IE 6) and I can log onto the message boards.

Anyone have any ideas here? I'm kinda at a loss and getting rather frustrated.

Check your Privacy settings (on the tab to the right of the Security tab).

    Been there - tried that

I tried that hon, alas, it didn't help. And now Win2K is just doing batty weird things =\ (sighs)

Security and Privacy are on Low - allowing all cookies.

And just now I tried to download the most recent critical update thingie for Win2K and when I rebooted my CMOS was all messed up and my bf had to reset it all -- which we dunno if that was caused by the win2k or the hardware (It's a new computer) once that was fixed I installed Warcraft 3 - and when I went to launch it, I got some kind of wjview.exe.new error thing from the C:\windows\dllcache\ directory. And then when I rebooted I got some error window about Inserting the Win2k pro cd because important files had been overwritten by unknown versions or something.

(sighs) I'm just debating removing win2k and just using Win98 =\

Right now it's proving to be really frustrating.
