I have just installed a belkin wireless card to a new dell laptop and am trying to add it to my existing wireless netowrk. I have 2 PC's both running XP that are wirelessly connected with no problems. However, although my laptop, running w2000 states it is connected to the network I am unable to access the Internet or add network places. Any clues?

    Thanks,

    Ron.

From a cmd window, ipconfig /all from the 2K PC and one of the working XP PCs and compare the output.

If the IP addressing doesn't match up (and especially if the 2K PC has an address starting 169) then it isn't ever seeing the network well enough to have IP addressing information assigned.

That's assuming you are using DHCP for automatic addressing.

Firewalls often cause this sort of thing if they aren't configured correctly.
