win2000 ns3400.dll file?

can any win2000 users please tell me if they have a ns3400.dll file on their hd anywhere?

i am trying to assist someone who was told by tech support that she needs to find this system file in order for her umax scanner to run.

i can't find the darn thing, neither on my hd nor on the installation disk.

It's not on my machine...dual boot win98se & win2000

so far, between here and another forum, you and two others have posted to tell me they checked and found no ns3400.dll file on their machines.

i really do doubt it's part of the os, and i'm glad that she can now call that tech back and say that no one else could find it either!

M$ help site never heard of it. Google never heard of it.

So I agree - not a part of the OS and if it exists at all, a pretty rare bird, peculiar to the Umax scanners and one that never gave any trouble to anybody before.

Or maybe they gave the wrong name?
