Trying to find a way to set folder names for bold text without changing the icon size or
    screen resolution. No luck yet.

If there is a way to do this, can someone point me to it.

    thanks,
    clif

Hi clif, you want to change the size of the text under icons on the Desktop or folders only on the Desktop?
You can increase the size of the Icons > Display from 100% up to 175%.

Only the text, not the icons. Lots of older people live here and they have problems with the
    size 9 fonts.

    thanks,
    clif

Hi clif, this is from the link Change Icons Text Size in Windows 10

Option 2 where you download the Bold and Size you want.
I checked the link MrBill Posted and found the problem of no Display in the Control Panel!
I think it may have something to do with MS newer updates than the time when the link was prepared.
