 I have a new computer that includes Works Suite 2002. Works now includes Word. I also have a folder named Microsoft Office. Some of the file structure is the same, but there are also differences - many more folders and files on my machine. I don't know what to do about installing my Office 2000. Will the old files overwrite the new? IF so, won't that mess up the XP installation? I have to have Access and Front Page. I can't remember if I was given the option to NOT install Word. I would like to keep the latest version of Word if possible.

    Any suggestions ?

I installed Office 2000 over a pre-installed Works and had no problems.

If you want to keep the version of Word you already have, do a "custom install" of Office. When you get to the window where you choose which components you want, click on Word and choose "Not available." That's the way I did it and had no problems.
