Does anyone know where I can download SP1, not SP1a? I can not seem to find a copy. Would anyone have a copy they could send me as an attachment via e-mail?

Well, whatever your reason for wanting a copy I have one, but it's 138 Mb - a bit large for email I think.

If you want me to send a copy snail mail I will do so - PM me an address - confirm that is is SP1 first though - file version is 1.16.121.0 - xpsp1_en_x86.exe dated 09.09.2002

    First, Arie,
I do not plan to update to SP2 and occasionally need to insert a WIN XP Home disk, which does not include SP1 even though my OS does have SP1. The reason for this is that my computer was preloaded with it and a WinXP CD did not come with it. I have an original XP CD from somewhere else
So I wanted to slip-stream SP1 with my original XP Home CD so I could use it when I have to insert the CD. Apparently the original CD, without SP1, will not work because it is an older version than what is on my computer.
    Pete,
My I386 folder has a Winzip file called SP1 of size 9.68MB. It is dated 8/29/2002.
Could that be the file? Your file is much larger.

Possibly, the date is right, but a tremendous discrepancy in the file size, even though it is zipped. However the full SP1 would contain everything that might be needed on any computer - I suspect yours may be all your computer needs. Why not unzip it to a folder and slipstream with your XP CD and see if it works.
