I need help BIGTIME!! MY machine is running Windows XP (NTFS) with all the latest updates. I was playing an online 3D game when it suddenly locked up. Everything was dead, keyboard, etc. I had to do a hard reset with the button on the front of my computer. From that point on is where the horror begins. The system wouldn't boot because of a missing or corrupt c:\windows\system32\config\system file. After hours of recovery efforts I had to copy an old system file into its place just so I could get the install CD to allow an update or repair. I now have gone through a repair and an update/install (not clean install) and have ended up with two administrator directories. One is called Administrator and the other is Administrator.workgroup. My whole goal in this exercise was to be able to recover Documents and Settings for an account called Jeff. When I try to go in and get to the contents of Jeff I get an access denied message. What is going on and how do I get to the contents of this directory to retrieve My Documents, Favorites, etc? There seems to be something hosed up with the SID of the Administrator account since the Jeff folder was created as a user account when the Administrator was originally setup on this machine. I need help!! Thanks in advance.

    Jeff.
