win xp pro back to win xp home

    i need a computer (laptop) that needs to go back to win xp home.
    what is the best way?

    If you upgraged from home to pro, format, install XP-home.

    Unless you did two XP installs to different folders, I think that will be the only way.

    Could you say why you want to roll back to a more limited version? AFAIK, you can do absolutely everything in Pro that you can in Home.

    If you have your XP Home CD, set your BIOS to boot from CD and follow the prompts. I can't imagine trading in Pro for Home, either, so I'm curious as to why, too?
