Network Settings - mostly yes and more "yes" if you have a desktop with NIC card or laptop with PCMCIA network card.

If you describe your problem, maybe someone can suggest a less drastic fix.

Otherwise and if you have a physical NIC you can remove, then go to device manager and delete the network card(s). Then shutdown and remove the NIC(s) and start back up then shutdown again. Put the NIC(s) back in and start the PC. You will have about as clean a start with networking as is possible with XP.

IE settings - you can just change them. You cannot remove IE from XP though. It just won't go away.

If you want to reset the TCP/IP stack, then you need to follow the instructions here:

    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=299357

But that is very drastic and there may be another way of resolving your problem.

    Simon.
