Win:XP home edition:registered name

    In Win:XP-Home Edition how do I correct mis-spelled registered to: name in sys properties

    You will need to open regedit at the start/run button. Now search by clicking "Edit|Find" then type exactly the mispelled name & press find now. Disregard mru folders by press the "F3" key as this will continue the "Find Next" until you see the proper identities folder. There should be TWO folders, one under HKLocalMachine & one under HKCurrentUser:)

    Because I can't remember the registry key where it's located, run regedit and do a search for the misspelled name (which shouldn't be difficult to find). You can correct it there.
