win media player

Not sure if this is in the correct area but here goes. I upgraded from IE 5.5 toIE 6. When i used to open a on line video file, winmedia player 9 wouldopen and I would play it from there. Now when i open a online video, a window opens on the left hand side of the screen with a little tiny window on the bottom to show the video. How would I reset the video to show it in win media player 9. Thank you for any help you could provide.

Do this:

1) Open Internet Explorer.
2) On the Menu Bar, click View > Explorer Bar > Media (The Media Toolbar will display on the left).
3) At the bottom of the Media Toolbar, click on Media Options > Settings.
4) Uncheck all three options. Or, make sure all three options are unchecked.
5) Close and re-open Internet Explorer.

Videos will now open with Windows Media Player instead of the Media Toolbar.
