My recycle bin does not display and contents even though there should be items in it that I recently deleted. Would really appreciate any help on this one. Thanks..D.Matura

Your Recycled folder is most likely corrupted.
You'll need a boot up floppy, you can create one by going to Control Panel\Add Remove Programs, click on Startup Disk tab, put a floppy in the drive and click on Create Disk. Or go to Bootdisk's and download a file that when double clicked with a floppy in the drive, one will be created.
Boot with the floppy, choose without CD support, and do this command at the A:\> prompt, pressing Enter at the end
    deltree c:\recycled
Type a Y that you want to delete, check your spelling at this time. Take out floppy and boot computer normally.
If something is there you wanted, it will no longer be there after this.

    Recycle Bin won't show contents

Thankyou for the reply and I can see by your instructions why the command would delete all contents. Is there a way to "restore" the recycle bin to its original configuration? I had a corrupted recycle bin with Win:XP and found a simple "fix" for that problem and it worked real slick..D.Matura

Deleting the folder would restore it so that it works. One of it's files are corrupted, and it is better to delete and let a new one be created when windows starts up again.

Thankyou for your reply Mark and really appreciate your assistance. Did not know that Win:Me would rebuild the recycle bin on boot-up as you mentioned. Hopefully this is the last time I see yhat O/S and if another comes in its going to become WIN:2000 in a darn big hurry........D.Matura......................
