Win. O/S ME: While looking through win.exployer namely WINDOWS\APPLOG I found a ton of files ending in .LGC and under TYPE: lgc file, and of various sizes in KB. Can anyone tell me if these are needed and dare I delete them. One of the files listed for instance is: CFTMON.LGC...Thanks...Den.......

The location WINDOWS\APPLOG says it all - they are log files - see here

Should be safe to delete if disk space is at a premium, but hold on to them in the Recycle Bin until you are sure that there is no problem. Most likely they will be recreated when required.
