WIN 98 vs audio/Media Player

    Working thru 'mattman' suggestions, finally arrived at 'CODECS' area... after trying most troubelshooting approaches rel to 'reinstalls', now have Microsoft Win Media 6.4, installed (in my IBM Aptiva.. WIN 98) system. NO Joy... when attempting to play any audio file, get alert '... no audio hardware installed..' During 'play', hit 'PROPERTIES- ADVANCED', & get no/ or one of two CODECS operational..... HELP!!

    I like realtek audio download. do a audio driver download then tell your comp. your going to install hardware check audio card and restart. maybe it will find it. GL
