Win 98 Internet Password

Hi.

I'm having trouble with a win98 machine, using a dial up broadband account.
I cannot get it to remember the password - the option is greyed out.
I have tried the details explained here http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=24854&highlight=internet+password
but that did not work.

Is there anything else that could be causing this?

Here is a method that has always worked for me...

Download and install Tweakui...under the logon tab, enter the same user and password that you'll be using to access your broadband connection. Reboot, at which time you will be asked to confirm your entry. In control panel, under the network applet, make sure Windows Logon is selected as the primary. Goto Dialup networking and set up a new connection using the same user and all should be well...
