A mate of mine is trying to reboot win 95, but has a different cd drive to the original, and the boot disk is not picking it up.
someone said that if he uses win 98 boot disc it should pick it up.
    (1) is this true?
    (2) can I get a download for him anywhere?

    Help me please

    Steveeboy.

Yes, a win98 disk will more than likely work for your friend. You can download one here .

Be aware: When you use a win98 bootdisk it creates a ram drive that will be given a drive letter before your cdrom. If your cdrom was drive D , it will be drive E when you boot from the boot disk. If the cdrom was drive E it will be drive F and so on. When you reboot the machine without the bootdisk, everything will be back to normal.
