Windows Vista win 32 not a valid application

    when i try to open up a convert.exe basically it is a conevrsion program in case you are guessing or Las.exe which is used to display log data it tells me it is not a valid win 32 application.
    May i remind you that i am using windows vista 32 bit and am i in the right place.

    A couple of questions:

    Has this ever run on your current OS previously? If so, what has changed in your environment since it last ran?

    Was it compiled for say Unix or Unix look alike machine?
