Win 2000 problem, toolbars are gone

Hi, I don't know what happen but suddenly my toolbars are gone. What I mean by toolbars is the File, Edit, View etc are gone. I don't know why it's gone. I had this problem before and then I reinstalled the whole windows and now it comes back again. Also I did a little reaserch on my own that my Internet Explorer 6 is not listed on the Add/Remove anymore. I already reinstall IE 6 back and I still got the problem. Does anybody know what's wrong with it? thanks


edit: I just reinstall IE again and not the file edit etc are back. the only problem that I see now is I still can't see IE 6 on the add/remove panel.

Have you gotten IE6 from the M$ site and installed it or is your version from somewhere else?

I would try the version Here and install it once more. Make sure no AV program is running when you install.

 

I did reinstall it twice already. Everything is ok now excepet I don't see the IE 6 on the add/remove.



do you know any other way to solve this problem? thanks
