Will Windows 98 screen savers work in Win XP?

Howdy!

My wife loves the old screen savers from our Win 98 machine (Mystery being her fav.).

The Win 98 machine isn't being used now - it's in a sort of "limbo" state - but I still have the OS disk.

Is there any way to copy the screen saver files from that disc and get them to work with the Win XP system?

If possible, could someone walk me through the steps on how to make it happen? If you want to include a lesson on how these files interact - I'd be open for the learning.

I for the life of me could ever figure why somebody likes to use screensavers and use system resources that can be put to better use by the OS and other programs that need it.
