Where are you downloading FF from?

    Hi,

    No error message/window?

In task manager (ctrl/alt/del) is firefox or setup mentioned at all in applications or processes?

Does any related error show in the event logs?

    Do other downloaded programs work?

In my case, Firefox has, always, opened, but it takes a lot of time. That's why it is important to, either, be patient, or open the task manager, as "wildfire" mentioned.
Depending on your connection, Firefox may take up to one minute to open.
