    In many different occasions, Outlook 2003 will ask if I want to archive old items to archive.pst. If I answer "yes" every week, will the old itmes be added (or appended) to the existing archive.pst, or just replaced it?

    If the archive.pst is just replaced, there is no way to get back the items older than a week. Is it a design fault not to date and time stamp the archive file if replacement is the design?

    If the archive.pst is added with new archieve items, will there be a maximum siz of the archive.pst?

    Archiving "moves" mail from the Outlook.pst file to the Archive.pst file and appends to it.

    Outlook 2003 has overcome the file size limits that previous versions had at 2 gigs.

    How to configure the size limit for both (.pst) and (.ost) files in Outlook 2007 and in Outlook 2003

    How to use the same Outlook 2003 data and settings from both notebook and desktop

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks for Outlook archiving information.

    By the way, is there a fast way to copy my Outllook 2003 personal email profile from one PC to another? As I find that after copying the .pst file does not automatically bring the email settings and etc to another computer.

    (be more precise, I want to access my Outlook data from both my notebook and desktop, but connecting to a share folder via WiFi is too slow, and anyway two profiles reside in two machines are difficult to keep version the same.)

    Regards

    You'd have to do File->Import

    I'd do the good old fashion way...Set the account to leave mail on server...Both machines will receive the same mail...Anytime you send mail use the BCC function and BCC yourself.
