I have a silly little problem I wonder if someone can help me with. When I delete all my SENT messages, NS still shows 1 ( one ) in the sent box. When you click on the sent box, nothing is there. How do I track down and kill the little bugger :)

    Hi erg,

When you look at the Sent Folder in Windows Explorer, does the File Size show 0KB? You can open the file in Notepad and see if there is actually any email there. If there is nothing you want to save, then:

Close Netscape and delete the Sent.msf file, and see if this helps. If not, then delete the Sent file, and the Sent.msf file. Netscape will rebuild the files, when reopened.

I just knew the NS champ would come through :). Thanks

Edit: There is one more thing that is bugging me. When I imported my address book I got it in another folder other than the Personal Address Book so now I have to click the down arrow and open it to get an address. How in heck can I get them in that default Personal Address Book folder. I may not be making sense but then again, another senior moment :)

    Hi erg,

Just curious, did you have to delete both files, or just the msf?

    On your Address Book:
Highlight all the addresses in the imported Address Book. (Hold down the shift key until all address have been highlighted)
Hold down the left mouse button and drag the highlighted Addresses to the Personal Address Book. You will see an arrow with a square when dragging.

When you open the Personal Address Book, all your addresses should be there.

CAUTION: back up your Address Book and imported Address Book before doing this edit.

    Ramona,

A little to quick for me,

    idkjs.

    Good Day.

    Regards your Personal Address book:

If your Personal address book is there and it is empty, you can open the address book that contains the addresses that you want, Select the ones that you want, Drag and Drop them to your Personal Address Book.

You can use the SHIFT key or the CTRL key to make muplitple selections.

If your Personal Address Book is not empty, you can use the same proceedure

    Hope this helps.

Let us know if this works for you.

    Hi erg,

If you're using Windows XP, then look here:

    Windows 2000/Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\xxxxxxxx.slt\Mail\mailaccountname
NOTE: These files are hidden by default.

    To see hidden files:
    1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options
    2. Click the View tab
    3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders

    Windows 98
    C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\xxxxxxxx.slt\Mail\mailaccountname

Let us know if you have more questions.
