Resolved Why Xbox

I am not now, have not been nor hope to be a gamer. Why can I not get rid of Xbox? What does it do that is pertinent to the operation of Windows 10?

 

It is not needed, but it's not hurting anything being there.

Well, I am a bit of a neat freak with my monitor. Thanks for the tip, but I learned a way to accomplish it using powershell.

 

Ummm, using powershell is how that Winaero tip shows to do it.

Not sure what having a neat monitor has to do with this. There are ways to tidy up the desktop of unused icons without resorting to power shell.

Anyway, I am glad you got it sorted out.

 

Just clarify, I wanted to eliminate items from the start menu. Just my thing.

 

Items in the Start Menu are just shortcuts. You generally can just right click on them and unpin.

Or do what I do and use Start10.
