My older windows 95 computer connects to my windows 98 computer, my windows 98 computer connects to my windows xp computer. My windows 95 will not communicate with xp. The setup disk from xp will not run on 95. Any solutions?

The disk you can make with XP to set up networking on other PCs only really works well if the others are also XP. It can easily get confused and goof the setup on other operating systems. Better to do the job manually. Easy enough but need a little more information first.

How are you connecting the PCs? Switch, hub, router/switch, other? And which model of device are you using?

On the XP PC, do the following and post the results here.
    - start~run~cmd
    - ipconfig /all > c:\ip-setup.txt
    - Open c:\ip-setup.txt, copy the entire contents, and paste it to a reply here along with the device information.
