    Using Win7x64 Pro

Why does just clicking thru my stock chart pics (.tif) leave each one minimized in the taskbar. If I wanted to save them, I would minimize them.

    XP never did this.

When I step thru them, I'm done with them and it's frustrating to have to individually delete them to get them out of the taskbar.

Is there a setting somewhere that will prevent do this?

Jim, I'm just using the default Win7 program = Windows Photo Viewer.

If I just use the Right/Left arrow keys there's no problem but if I click on a .tif file in the directory as I am scanning then it stays in the TB.

They aren't "saved" in the taskbar... but rather a new version of Windows Photo Viewer is opened for any picture you open. This is default behavior for Windows Photo Viewer.

Like you discovered, to have photo's opened in the same window, just use the navigation buttons in Windows Photo Viewer.

    Rob ...

Personally, I've never liked Windows Photo Viewer, as I find it to be too limited in its capabilities. Instead, you might consider trying IrfanView. It's free, it's small, it doesn't need to be installed, it has a multitude of options, and it's very configurable.

    Thanks guys,

The Navigation Buttons are not my first choice. My pics are numbered sequentially and I use the mouse to find a particular time of day that I am looking for since I can relate the time to the number.

I definitely need a different viewer so I'll check out Irfran View

An even better one (IMO :)) is FastStone Image Viewer. It's a fast, stable, user-friendly image browser and viewer with a familiar Windows Explorer-like user interface, as well as a converter, editor and much more. It's also free for home users.
