    Hi,
I am having a few problems with my windows XP Pro, nothign major but really annoying. After me destroying my machine, coming to here and getting all the help i needed I thought I may try here again for advice.

    1) I am noticing on the installation of software when it unpacks the installer or I click on setup it will appear to load and then just go dormant. It still shows as a running process but refuses to continue, just dissapears . I would have blamed this on the burn but as soon as I go to shut down my system this dormant setup process will appear ready to go, but of course fail as I have shut down. No matter what I try I cannot get most software to install.....adobe photoshop's readme says this:

I am the administrator on my machine this is all I can see in that install readme thta has a problem with xp, it can't be this....
    any other ideas?????

    2) Also one other thing. I have placed a second account on my mahcine for the first time. Whenever i click on anything in this account It says "Failure Sinking to IWeb Browser2" CLicking on say explorer or my computer or anythign brings up this message. Then the desired thing will open. I just keep getting this really annoying prompt.

Thankyou for any thoughts. This stuff seems to always get the better of me

To solve the problem with "Failure sinking events in IWebbrowser2" in Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab. Uncheck the "Enable third party extensions [requires restart]" in the Browsing section. Close Internet Explorer and open it again.

You can also try using BHO Cop to find what Browser Help Objects are installed and disable them.
