Windows Vista Who of you guys use BitLocker encryption, and is it wise to do so..

    ...is my question. Should I use EFS instead? What if the TPM gets damaged or something and renders my Thinkpad unusable even if I have the key backed up?

    Any thoughts...;)

    Ask yourself if the data stored on the HD is worth that much...

    I doubt consumers have a need for this protection. Company laptops is another thing...
