White background and installer problem. also browser closing

Hello all, im new to the board and have some serious xp questions. The other day my background went black and a message appeared about Spyware being found and to download a spyware blocker. so i ran Spybot, Ad-aware, and Webroot spy sweeper, and it changed the background to all white. I can't change that now, when i go to properties, it goes to a different menue and says 'none' to most of the spots. Any way to fix this?

Another problem

I tried to update my iTunes today to a newer version. It downloaded, then said "error 1719 the windows installer service cannot be accessed. this can occur if you are running windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not installed correctly. "

one more

sometimes when I get onto sbc yahoo internet browser, it closes automatically. a message appears that says A problem has occured in the Yahoo browser and must close. we are sorry for the inconvenience. when i press "Don't Send" for the error report it closes.

any idea on how to fix any of these problems?

I just saw another thread with the same background problem, i read it, and fixed it. sorry for not looking around before. the other problems are still present

 

Glad to hear you got it fixed. Can you tell us how you fixed it or post a link to the thread with the fix? It might help somebody else who comes across this thread in the future.
