Which web browser are you using as your main browser?

For those of us that use more then one browser: you got to choose one.

IE. Have used it and NEVER had a problem with it. All my PC's use it and I have 7 grandkids that are on them all the time. I have tried others but always went back to IE.

I have always been using Internet Explorer on all of my Windows PC's and never had a problem with it. I have been using IE8 for a while and it does everything I need it to do.

I used to use Internet Explorer. But there were too many ads. I got sick of seeing yellow teeth, crippled children, and single women every time I checked my email. No AdBlocker worked.

Chrome has a few problems that are annoying. But the AdBlocker is rock solid. I would not go back to Internet Explorer and its ads if you paid me.

Arie, are you talking about time spent ONLY on Windows, or everything in a day?

From IE > Tools > Manage Add-Ons, then disable those unwanted. Close all IE. Then from Control Panel > Programs and Features, identify and uninstall those Add-Ons.

I do the above monthly to my children's computers till recently they change to Mac. Quite time now.

Daanii, there is a way to block ads in IE8. If you are interested take a look at this thread, Pesky roll over popups.

Not everyone uses Windows and IE is not cross platform (apple doesn't count ;).

Firefox for me, I can run it on anything from my mobile (cell phone) to my headless linux box.

I would love to use IE but unfortunately for me it is the slower of my 3 preferred. Firefox is till loved and used often but I have been using Chrome "BETA" lately and with a few java or flash glitches find that it works faster and with fewer problems than either IE or Firefox.

Dang it IE..speed the browser up and "we will come ". :)

Several of the web-sites I visit regularly don't accept anything except IE, so I've stayed with it. Unfortunately, IE8 is as high as I can go unless I go to to Windows 7.

I use firefox the most due to its addons, which are helpful to me for my job. Some times I use Internet Explorer for some specific tasks.

I use Firefox, with the IE addon. It is disguised, in a way, as IE, and it allows me to do everything including Windows Updates downloads.

Using MSN (the butterfly) browser. Have had that for several years as my ISP (Qwest) supplied/recommended it. But they are no longer going to be affiliated with them, so IE8 is what I'll be using. Used that occasionally anyway, so the change hopefully won't be too hard for me to adjust!

IE for me. First browser I used was NCSA Mosaic, then Netscape, then IE. Haven't tried any of the others.

I reckon I am out there pretty much by myself since the survey says only 3 are using SeaMonkey

I started using Netscape in 1993 or 94 and then after NS 7.2 and the AOL debacle I switched to SeaMonkey 1.0 and been using it ever since.

I like the suite arrangement as that is what I am comfortable with.

However, I have FF, IE, Thunderbird and even NS 7.2 on my computer

BTW, I continue to use SeaMonkey 1.1.19 because I don't care for SM 2.0 but, 2.0 is also installed.

    My 2 cents, Ray

The OP was referring to ads, as in "advertisements," not add-ons.

Firefox about 95% of the time. Even tho I have IE addons some web sites still need IE and that is when I use it.

Started out with Netscape many many years ago and then just stayed with it till Firefox came around.

Have Safari, IE 7 (should install 8 but have not yet done so), Chrome, and Opera , all on computer. Just recently uninstalled Netscape 7.2 as it just would no longer always work properly with some web sites, ( kept it around because I always liked the way it was working and designed, especially using the email portion).

Have iPhone so use safari there by default. Just curious so put on my PC. Definitely at the bottom of the list of ones I have tried.

Latest Chrome is very nice and handy. IE still sometimes gives me problems. Keep separate home pages email sites on each of them which makes it easy when I want to just concentrate on one area.

I've been a Firefox fan for years and am liking version 4 quite a bit. I have been using IE9 as a comparison and find I like it quite a bit more than version 8.
