I am trying to install from a Quicken 99 Basic CD. I have used this program for years and don't want to go through another learning curve.

But in order to install this app on my present OS, I need to know which setup.exe file to use. There are at least six!
1 each in the following directories:

    1. /canmff/disk1
    2. /canqtax
    3. /dao/disk1
    4. /disk1
    5. /qbtrial/can "“ (Quickbooks trial Canada so not this one)
    6. /qbtrial/us - (Quickbooks trial US so not this one)

I believe it is number 4. /disk1 but I have to be sure.

I want do an English (with US keyboard) installation. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ed B. I would probably go with the setup.exe file located on number 4, /disk1. That seems like the most logical place for the setup file to be located.

If you still aren't sure then you can try the option in number 4 and if that doesn't work then you can try the other options.

    Thanks Evan

I suppose I'll be viewed as a turncoat, but I am trying to install this on a Linux system and then execute it using an emulator.

I can get it to install, but if it is not correctly done, it can't be uninstalled and the entire OS and associated files have to be reinstalled.:(

I think you are correct so, just to be safe, I will burn an image of the HD before trying again. I've fouled up twice already and am not eager to foul it up again.:)

    Thanks and best regards,

    Ed B
