okay i right click on my computer icon go down to properties and that says that i have media center 2002.

the media center in "about media center" says that its mc 2005.

so which one do i have? where do i look? belarc says that i have windows xp media center edition service pack 2(build 2600) as my computer. further down it says that its media center edition 2005.

its sort of important because if its edition 2005 i needlessly rolled back the player to wmp10. cause you dont use it with mc2002.(according to microsoft)

i had problems with wmp11 because it started finalizing on whatever track it wanted to instead of completing the burn. with wmp 10 i build a playlist and it forgets tracks( the orange thingie and says if you had it on another computer blah blah blah) with the media center edition whichever i tried to burn cd got three tracks ... it crashed

another thing, i used to have audible, and they use nero for downloading audio books, so could nero have anything to do with this little problem? i removed it from add/remove and used nero's general clean tool but when i did a search for nero 13 objects showed up.

i want my music,i want to listen to it on something besides my pc and i really really need help. please

im back. i know what os i have (according to dell and system information, who agree),im running windows xp pro with media center 2005(found the disc for it).

i went back (or up to) wmp 11 which does keep playlists much much better than wmp 10. i can rip but havent burnt yet(no blank cds).

okay thats it for the burning so-so
