    Hi folks

    Win 7 64 bit
    login as user

I found following script said to create .xls file on the fly:-
[R] Excel Export in a beauty way
    https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2009-June/200607.html

Ran the script on R. After finish executed:-
    > export.xls(iris)

It seemed creating iris.xls on the fly. But I can't find it after finish nor with "search ". Can you help?

    TIA

    (Remark:
    1) The script has nothing to do with Win7. I just want to find the iris.xls file if it has been created.

    2)
R also has nothing to do with Win7 just running on the latter as platform.

From Explorer>Tools>FolderOptions>View tab>Make sure that 'Show hidden files, folders and drives' is checked. This should allow you to find the file if it was actually saved.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your advice.

Actually there is nothing to do with the hidden file option. After reboot search can find the file "iris.xls ". Path:
    C:\Users\satimis\Documents\R\win-library\2.12\gdata\xls

The file was saved on user's document of that software (here is R).

    However on;
Computer -> Users -> satimis -> My Document

the folder is named - My Document NOT Document
