I recently downloaded a program that REPLACES my task bar. I can create shortcuts. If I want to show a shortcut to my START button, where is it stored?

    Thank You

The Start Menu is an explorer function. Even the bitmap for the button is contained in explorer.exe and changing it involves hacking explorer.

Unless someone has a better idea, I think the best you can do is make a shortcut to the Start Menu folder, either under each account name in Documents and Settings, or with:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Start Menu
(if C: is your installation drive and "Windows" is your system folder).

Making a shortcut that opens the menu without involving explorer is unlikely. You may just want to use the Windows key.
