I have downloaded both Netscape 6.2 and 7.0 in the past by running the pre-download setup program. Each time I did this, I checked the checkbox to save the files locally when they are actually downloaded, but was never given the opertunity to see where they go.

In searching the system I've seen large files which might be it, but nothing definitely identifiable as my downloaded files.

Where are the setup files and how do I use them if I want to run setup without downloading again?

I may be moving between 7.0 and 6.2.3 in order to get my profiles right.

    Hi jsellers,

I would forego the pleasure of Netscape 6, and move on to Netscape 7.0 Final. Netscape 6 is full of bugs, even 6.2.3. The Mail & NG feature leaves much to be desired. Netscape 7 is much more stable.

My advice would be to not use the NXSetup.exe to install Netscape. I would use the full install (sea).

Netscape 7.0 Final was leaked yesterday, but it is still unofficial. It should be out within the week. It will be based on Mozilla 1.1. If you want to experiment with the browser, then download Mozilla 1.1 and give it a preview run.

Look in your Temp folder, or do a "Find" for the NXSetup.exe. I think the file is 200+KB.

I should also caution, that you should use a unique Profile for Mozilla. Using the same Profile for Netscape and Mozilla will cause much grief.

If you have more questions, please post back.

    Ramona :D
