When I copy text to clipboard in Outlook 2003 (from an email to paste into another email for example) most of the features in Outlook 2003 'grey out' like when the product is not activated.

I do not get any other problem with Outlook 2003, just this. Sometimes it happens the first time I copy something and sometimes it just happens after I've been using Outlook for quite a long period of time (a few hours).

Anybody got any ideas? If you need any further info please ask.

I'm using Windows XP. Thanks in advance.

I just repeated the issue with my 2003 version...Can't say that I've ever noticed before and have been using it for almost two years....

Me me, just opening an email will gray many options out...If I close it and reopen it all is well.

If there is a solution it can be found at the MS Knowledgebase. (click the link in my signature)

Cheers Steve. I'm wondering if it might be a certain email open that does it.

I've search the MS knowledge base extensively and cannot find anything. I've never come across anything like it.

It's weird because I've gone all week without it happening and then it happened this morning. I didn't recall doing anything beforehand to make it do it. Bizarre!

It's like it goes into Reduced Functionality Mode when I copy text to clipboard but when I restart Outlook it goes back into full mode.
