    Hey, folks.

Since browsing with Firefox for awhile, I've been noticing that most pages will pause a bit after loading. Then, handy links are made from words in the pages that are "conveniant" advertising links. The bottom browser pane reports "Transferring data from us.intellitxt.com... "

Is this on everyone's computer these days? I know I didn't ask for any of these "helpful" links. How do I get rid of the thing?

By the way, could this possibly be a "feature" provided by my new WorksSuite 2005's Word program? Microsoft can be so "helpful" at times, eh?

Ever since this text based advertising started here, the site freezes for a few seconds, then I get a warning from Firefox saying that a script is causing Mozilla to run slowly, and it asks if I want to abort it. I always clicked Yes. This is making the forums very difficult to navigate. Strangely, I don't see the text ads or script warning in Mozilla, only in Firefrox.

Oh. I see. Helps to pay the bills. They must be happy. These things are on a lot of sites now. I've gotton that message about stopping the function or my browser, Windows might crash too. Gotta stop it sometimes. Must be some bugs in the technology. Kinda hope it starts crashing everybody's machines so the company will fold. It's like forced spam. It makes you afraid of where you put your mouse. Definately don't want to land anywhere near the highlighted links.

I noticed the same thing while in Firefox and reading the BBS boards. The screen jumps around, flickers, and it is very annoying. When I go into Mozilla I do not have that problem. Why is that? Also, is this something that is improved for members here?

I don't have any problem, since I have cable, but things are different in Mozilla1.7.5 than Firefox1.0. I don't mind ads, and it seems that there is choice here (not really). I think that the ad is ok, but the location is particularly bad. The first time that I saw, I did not realize that it was placed between the original message and the next one, if any.
I am not slowed down, although I see the Transferring message all the time. What is it transferring? It beats me, but this could slow things down with dialup.
I cannot understand why they do anything like this. It is in the same category of spam which has purposely misspelled words. As if I will be any more interested. Real geniuses!
