Resolved Whats the difference between shockwave player and flash player?

    Hi everyone. Im curious, what is the difference between Adobe shockwave player and Adobe Flash Player? :confused: I know I need flash player to watch movies and web content on the internet but does shockwave player offer the same features as flash player or does it do something completely different? Thanks for the comments everyone. :)

    From Adobe FAQ :

    As I understand it, when you interact = Shockwave, when you don't have to = Flash.

    Thanks for the info Christer. I greatly apprecaite it. :) I guess I will now install both flash player and shockwave player on computers that I do maintenance on at school. Thanks for the quick response. :cool: :D

    I have wondered about the difference myself but have only FlashPlayer installed. Until I know that I need it, ShockWave stayes out. One item less that can go wrong.
