    Media: HP CD-RW 12X 700MB Data/80Min. Video

Recorder: LG super multi DVD DRIVE, Model:GSA-H10N with Nero InCD

After I formatted one CD-RW media above, the use copy&paste method to copy some files into it. And use IBM Thinkpad T43(default configuration) to read this media. NO problem. However, when I use drag&drop method to copy files. It will cause IBM thinkpad to be busy to read it and never stop, I can't even eject it.

When I force the write speed to 8X, both drag&copy and copy&paste worked fine.

Can anyone help me out ? TIA.

Cut and paste uses the Clipboard; drag and drop uses a DataObject object, which is in essence a private clipboard.

That's essentially what MS says but I have no clue why your particular proggy handles one differently than the other. It may well have something to do with the inherent persistence of Clipboard files versus a more temporary nature of the drag/drop DataObject item. Just a guess though. Perhaps you'll just have to accept it and work around it by reducing the write speed as you have discovered.
