Whats the deal with Ad Aware SE?

    I just downloaded what I thought was the newest version now im getting this!!!! Can someone explain to me why there is a newer build in such a short time? Thanks in advance. :confused:

    Dobhar,

    Thanks for the info.. so I guess I need to re d load this newer version huh? Can I install over the top or would it be better to uninstall and reinstall?

    I usually uninstall from "Add/Remove Programs" then install new version myself but Ad-aware does ask you if you want to uninstall the old version suring the install of new verion...you will get a prompt.

    When I upgraded from 1.04 to 1.05 I used this method and it worked flawlessly for me. :D

    dobhar--Thanks for your comments. Maybe I will go ahead with installing 1.05. After the snafu with SE1.04 I have been waiting for a guinea pig to go first. :)

    Well, I did the 'pig' duties and 1.05 slid in nicely (I opted for a fresh install rather than the piece that would save current settings) and it is humming along nicely even as we speak - sniffing out possible bad things to kill.

    I opted for a fresh install as well newt and all is working nicely..went through and set it up rather quickly and got updates all is well here!!! :)

    Well, 2 days with out a hitch...I think I can honestly say 1.05 (IMHO) is a go.

    EDIT: I just looked at my last post (#4) above...typos...typos...man I need spell check... :D :D
