what software will open CSV FILE?

    I am unable to open/view a CSV file created by a banking system download. It seems some of the banks allow information from my account to be downloaded. However they limit the type of files it will create. Most of the files have a connection to a software like Quicken, Quickbooks,etc. So I am looking for the software that will open/view this type of file.
    I am using XP computer with Windows. Thanks.

    Yes - notepad will open it and you'll be able to read it but if you want to be able to do anything meaningful with it, you'll need to open it in a spreadsheet such as Excel.
